This is because most Video Card Drivers are made to not send a Sleep Signal to displays detected as a HDTV. This even happens with Normal Computer Monitors that are connected with a HDMI cable. For all i know this whole problem could have nothing to do with the TV, but rather something with nVidia's Drivers not allowing the HDMI/Mini HDMI Connector on the Video Card to correctly be put to sleep by Windows.Īfter doing some looking around, I've found this problem to not only be with this HDTV but with most any Display connected with a HDMI cable of any type even a DVI-HDMI one, as the Video Card detects the display as a HDTV. If the TV is set to a Active Display though when Windows goes into Power Saving Mode and puts the Displays to Sleep, it causes the computer to play the Device Disconnect and Reconnect sounds every 10 seconds, never entering standby/turning off as it should.Īlso i don't know if it should or not, but when using the HDMI-Mini Hdmi Cable like i am the Computer Settings Options on the TV stays greyed out like it doesn't know its conneccted to a computer.
